3rd league: Magdeburg's co-coach shoots at opponents - and sees a red card
1. FC Magdeburg lost their home game 2: 4 (1: 3) to Eintracht Braunschweig on Matchday 3 of the 3. Liga. Before 16,000 spectators it was heated in the closing stages: First, the Magdeburg Björn Rother was expelled after a foul of the field (84th minute), then saw the assistant coach of the hosts, Silvio Bankert, the red card (89).

At the score of 2: 3 the ball rolled out after a duel. Bankert, who was active for Chemnitz and Magdeburg, shot the ball back into the field and hit the lying down guest player Marcel Bär. Referee Felix Zwayer interpreted this as an intention and showed the red card.
