Basketball - Voigtmann to CSKA - Sport
Basketball international Johannes Voigtmann is the first German to join the Russian top club CSKA Moscow. After his departure from the Spanish first division Baskonia Vitoria receives the 26-year-old in the current Euroleague champion a two-year contract. "I am really happy that I am allowed to play for such a prestigious club and I hope to win many titles," said the native Eisenacher. ZSKA coach Dimitris Itoudis looks forward to the entry: "I know he has turned down some good offers and Voigtmann is a versatile player who can play in two positions." The 2.11 meter tall Voigtmann has accumulated in his career both as a center as well as a power forward, he was recently inter alia, associated with the NBA club Washington Wizards. The 54-time international had changed in 2016 from Bundesliga club Frankfurt Skyliners to Vitoria.
