Bayern lends Ivan Perisic - Sport
- After a long break, FC Bayern again makes a player transfer: Ivan Perisic comes from Inter Milan.
- The runner-up is initially loaned for one season.
- After that Bayern have a purchase option.
As expected, Fc Bayern signed the Croatian Vice World Champion Ivan Perisic from Inter Milan. The 30-year-old offensive player is initially loaned for a year, then the Munich have a purchase option. The rental fee for Perisic should be five million euros, a firm commitment would allegedly cost another 20 million euros.
"Ivan will help us immediately with his many years of experience at an international top level," sports director Hasan Salihamidzic quoted in the FC Bayern statement.
Perisic, he added, "is technically strong and flexible on offense, and I am sure that Ivan will integrate quickly as he already knows the Bundesliga and our coach Niko Kovac well".
Perisic already played for BVB and Wolfsburg
Kovac already knows his compatriot from his time as coach of Croatia (2013 to 2015). The 82-time international Perisic had scored three goals at the World Cup in Russia last summer, including one in the World Cup final against France (2: 4).
Perisic, who played 112 Bundesliga games (27 goals) for BVB and Wolfsburg from 2011 to 2015, is Bayern's fourth access this season after Lucas Hernandez of Atletico Madrid, who has cost 80 million euros, Benjamin Pavard (VfB Stuttgart / 35 ) and talent Jann-Fiete Arp (Hamburger SV / 3).
Most recently, Bayern had worked on a transfer from international player Leroy Sané of Manchester City. The 23-year-old, however, contracted an injury to the cruciate ligament and will probably fail for several months. This is a big question mark behind the change Sanés to the Isar.
