News : Bimbo Virtual Global Energy Race: more than a race
Running is just running! But for us, precisely, it is in complicated situations like this when running feels best to us, when we need to sweat the most and free our minds. He pleasure of running for the simple pleasure … of running. If we add to that being part of a worldwide solidarity movement that aims to help those who need it most, nothing can fail.
For the fifth consecutive year, the largest race in the world returns, the Bimbo Global Energy Race that it does so with a new even more ambitious format: Virtual, free, more supportive than ever and ready to break all records.
Sign up for the race to be held from October 5 to 11 is free (www.globalenergyrace.com) and each entry will represent one donation to the Food Banks of 20 slices of Bimbo bread.
In Spain the goal is “one million slices of bread” donated at the end of the race.
“We have doubled our donation this very special year,” explains Aldin Delfino, Marketing Manager for Health and Well-being at Bimbo Spain. “And we will donate 20 slices of sliced bread for each registered” to the Food Banks. Thus, in Spain the goal is “one million slices of bread” donated at the end of the race.
To reach a million in Spain “It would take about 57,000 participants.” And the rate of registrations points in that direction. “It would mean multiplying by eight the participation of the previous years in Spain, but we are sure that we will reach that goal”, he explains.
To be part of this movement is very easy, you just have to fill in the registration form at www.globalenergyrace.com and decide between the four available options:
- 1 km (for children),
- Hike 3 km
- Racing 5,000 meters.
- Career of 10,000 meters.
