News : Champions League: Lieke Martens shoots FC Barcelona into the final – 2-1 against PSG
FC Barcelona are in the final of the Women’s Champions League. The football club prevailed on Sunday afternoon in front of 981 spectators in the Johan Cruyff Stadium in the second leg of the semi-final against Paris Saint-Germain 2-1 (2-1). The first leg was 1: 1.
Barcelona already convinced in the first half with the more creative and above all quick attacks. Lieke Martens (8th minute / 31st) put the Spaniards in a good starting position with a remarkable early goal from an acute angle into the far corner – and then directly extended their lead.
PSG succeeded through Marie-Antoinette Katoto (34.) from a mess in the penalty area after a cross, however, the quick connection goal.

Jennifer Hermoso (69th) and Marta Torrejon (70th) gave the best chances for the preliminary decision with two hits on the post. In the end, the narrow lead was enough over time even in the hectic final phase.
In the final, either Bayern Munich or Chelsea are waiting for Barcelona. Both teams have been playing for the finals since 1.30 p.m. The Munich women won the first leg 2-1. The final will take place on May 16 in Gothenburg.
