News : Champions League – Paris thrilled – and falls apart against Manchester City – Sport
Despite an early lead and dominant style of play, Paris Saint-Germain lost 2-1 to Manchester City. The second half in the semi-final first leg fails completely.
Bayern winner Paris Saint-Germain lost the first leg in the semi-finals of the Champions League against Manchester City. The team of star coach Pep Guardiola prevailed on Wednesday evening in the Prinzenpark with 2: 1 (0: 1) and can hope for the first final in the European football championship. After Marquinhos fell behind in the 15th minute, Kevin De Bruyne (64th) and Riyad Mahrez (71st) achieved the turnaround within eight minutes.
In the closing stages, PSG also had to play outnumbered after referee Felix Brych Idrissa Gueye (77th) showed the red card after a foul on city professional Ilkay Gündogan. The German international was able to continue playing after a short period of treatment. The decision to move into the final, where Chelsea FC or Real Madrid are waiting, will now be made in Manchester next Tuesday.
