Former British judo world champion Craig Fallon is dead. The former sports star was found dead on a hill in East Shropshire after being hit by his family was reported as missing. Craig Fallon was only 36 years old.

Craig Fallon was considered one of the most successful British judo athletes of his generation. His former coach Fitzroy Davis described him as "one of the greatest in the judo world". Fallon was the last British judoka to win the world title in Cairo in 2005. In addition to Neil Adams, he was one of only two Britons to become both World and European champions. He also won the Commonwealth title for England in 2002 and finished seventh at the Beijing Olympics in 2008, before retiring three years later went.

"It was an honor to have met Craig Fallon, a privilege to have him as a member of @CamberleyJC, a judo genius with a golden heart, we'll all miss him very much," he says in his tweet.
