Venues at the European Championships are Trieste, Udine, Cesena, Reggio nell'Emilia Bologna and Serravalle (San Marino).
The European Championship on TV
All matches of the German U21 will be broadcasted on the public broadcasters ARD and ZDF. Further selected games are shown by the sports channel Sport1 - also in the respective livestream.
In each case the group winner qualifies for the semifinals in three groups of four teams each. It is completed by the best runner-up in the tournament. Only professionals who were born on or after 1 January 1996 may participate in the European Championship.
Germany is going into the tournament as defending champion and is one of the favorites again this year. But Spain - the European champion of 2013 and 2011 - is considered a title candidate. Italy with new hope Federico Chiesa and the strong Englishmen can also hope for themselves.
