Hockenheim: Verstappen rages all the way to the front - sport

Red Bull driver Max Verstappen has won the German Grand Prix. In a highly turbulent race with changeable weather conditions and numerous safety car phases, the Dutchman triumphed in Hockenheim in front of Heppenheim's Sebastian Vettel, who had started from last place in a Ferrari. Third was surprisingly the Russian Daniil Kwjat (Toro Rosso). For Verstappen (21) it was the seventh victory of the career and the second of the season.
The weakened by a disease world champion and championship leader Lewis Hamilton (England / Mercedes) remained after several driving errors in eleventh for the first time in more than a year without points. Charles Leclerc (Monaco) in the second Ferrari retired on a partly mirror-smooth track as well as Hamilton's team-mate Valtteri Bottas (Finland) and the Emmericher Nico Hülkenberg in the Renault.
