News : Jorge Blanco, personal best and ahead of Moen in the Asics 10k
Jorge Blanco has made a career in the ‘Be (at) Your Personal Best’ that Asics organized this Saturday morning in France with 5 and 10k tests. The Spanish long distance runner participated in the longest distance, where he finished in a spectacular second position stopping the clock in 28:27, personal best.
The Leonese runner from 1993 was only surpassed by the Kenyan Hillary Kipkoech, who prevailed with a time of 27:34. The well-known Norwegian marathoner has completed the podium Sondre Moen, who trains most of the year in Kenya in height and that has entered the finish line in 28:34, seven seconds after the Spanish representative.

Belgian Koen Naert (28:36), Kenyan Enock Onchari (28:58) and Frenchman Abdezarrak Charik (28:59) also dropped 29 seconds. Both the winner Kipkoech (by one minute) and Blanco (by 45 seconds) have achieved personal best marks, while Moen has stayed far (it is 27:55).
In the 5k event, the winner was also Kenyan, in this case Boniface Kibiwott (13:24:00), ahead of the French Felix Bour (13:34:00) and Etienne Daginos (13:36). Far behind (eighth) has been Julien Wanders with 13:13.
