News : Kilian Jornet reveals his racing calendar for this 2021
The best mountain runner in history is eager and motivated. And that’s the best news we could get. Kilian Jornet has revealed what his racing calendar will be for this 2021 if all goes well and there are no setbacks due to COVID. The Catalan has confessed on his social networks that he is dying to compete and put on a number after a long time. In the last few months in which he has been a father for the second time and has been in the Himalayas, his favorite mountain range in the world, Jornet wants to continue enjoying the competition.
Sweden, Switzerland, Scotland and Catalonia
Your first stop (as we say if nothing goes wrong) is the Fjallmaraton in Sweden, starting point and prior to the first big date, which will arrive on August 7 with the mythical Sierre Zinal, with 31 kilometers and 2,200+ of unevenness (scoring event for the WMRA World Cup and also for the Golden Trail Series). After more than a month of ‘rest’, Kilian will return to the load on September 19 with the Salomon Ring Of The Steall Skyrace, which takes place in Scotland with 29 kilometers and 2,500 meters of positive elevation gain.
The icing on the Catalan season will take you to the Ultra Pyrenees, where it is a myth and that will make you return home, to its mountains, next October.
