Mesut Özil and Sead Kolasinac take a break at Arsenal
Mesut Özil and Sead Kolasinac have not played in Arsenal's friendly against French side Olympique Lyon. Coach Unai Emery has given the two players a break so they can recover from the aftermath of the failed raid on them in the middle of the week.
Both had already returned to training, but they were still "unwilling to play the game," said Emery. "It's not a good moment to play because your head is not 100 percent - these are very personal circumstances, and most importantly, they feel good, feel safe, and are carefree for their families."
Özil and Kolasinac had been the victims of a robbery on Thursday. According to British media, they had been threatened with knives in London by two motorcyclists. According to information of the SPIEGEL Özil had driven together with his wife to the home of his teammate Sead Kolasinac, where they were attacked by the attackers.
