Pol Retamal, second Spanish in history in 200 behind Hortelano
The humble athletic track of Santa Coloma de Gramenet has lived a historic moment this afternoon during the Ironwill Barcelona Challenge celebration. The Catalan athlete of FC Barcelona Pol Retamal has achieved, eye to data, the second best Spanish brand in history in the 200 meters with a tremendous 20.49 mark.
Just behind Hortelano
Only the 20.02 of Bruno Hortelano now doing little more than a year in Getafe has surpassed that of Penedès throughout the history of Spanish athletics, which is said fast. Retamal has run with a wind of 1.9m / s and it has stayed very close (20.35) to the World Cup minimum for Doha. Also the Catalan of the Record of Spain sub’23 has been very close that also has Hortelano (to two hundredths).
Second has been the also athlete of FC Barcelona Pau Fradera (21.30) and third Marcel Mondria (21.47). In the video you can see how Retamal stars in a brutal last 100 and crosses the goal left ahead of his rivals. He has received, among others, the congratulations of the President of the RFEA Raúl Chapado. It is the fifth time that David Ruiz's pupil falls from 21 seconds in 200.
