Inspired by the award-winning Suunto 9 Baro, Suunto 9 Peak is designed for extreme adventures and experiences, with a sleek design that fits snugly on the wrist for maximum comfort.
Tested in the most extreme conditions, Suunto 9 Peak features up to 170 hours of GPS recording capacity in Tour mode, blood oxygen measurement, a full battery charge in one hour. It is designed to meet the high expectations of users of a sports device, it is a training tool and a perfect adventure companion.
“When we design a new watch, we start by evaluating the user experience as well as their expectations and combine it with our latest technological developments. We found that many people wanted the features of the Suunto 9 Baro, but in a smaller, more streamlined design that didn’t compromise on battery life or feature set. Our team of designers and engineers worked closely together to develop Suunto 9 Peak in response to this need, “says Heikki Norta, President of Suunto. “Building on our 85 years of experience creating adventure products, we are proud to launch this watch with a new minimalist Nordic design.”
Suunto 9 Peak comes with all features industry leaders that the Suunto 9 family is known for, including more than 80 sports modes such as running, walking, mountain biking, skiing or swimming; customizable displays to display the most relevant training data, an intelligent battery management system, accurate heart rate monitoring, detailed weather information and extensive navigation capabilities.
The new updates Suunto 9 Peak include:
- Minimalist Nordic design, which is 37% thinner and 36% lighter than the award-winning Suunto 9 Baro.
- Blood oxygen level measurements to help determine acclimatization levels at higher altitudes.
- Automatic backlight intensity adjustment according to lighting conditions
- Faster charging: 100% battery in 1 hour
- Improved watch strap with a new metal retaining pin.
- New dial that shows weekly training metrics and inspires new routines.
The Suunto app integrates with Suunto 9 Peak, allowing users to plan routes effectively with sport-specific heat maps and popular starting points, that can be created and transferred to the watch for offline browsing.
The mobile application allows the user to discover new locations, create points of interest and recall previous adventures with personal heat maps. Furthermore, the sync speed between Suunto 9 Peak and the Suunto app is now doubled with Bluetooth 5, the latest version in Bluetooth technology.

Suunto 9 Peak will be available in two different styles with four nature-inspired colors: Titanium Blue Granite and Titanium White Birch, made of grade 5 sapphire and titanium crystal and Black and Moss Gray, made of sapphire crystal and stainless steel.
