Tina Punzel and Lou Massenberg win bronze at swimming championships

The European Champions Tina Punzel and Lou Massenberg have the German diver at the World Cup in South Korea Gwangju saved from a "Salto Nullo" and won the hoped for medal. On the final day of the competitions the duo secured themselves in mixed synchronized jumping from the three meter board bronze (301.62 points).

Gold, which went to Australia, lost only 3.24 points, silver took Canada. The dive power China went empty after eleven titles at the Nambu University Municipal Aquatics Center for the first time because they did not send a duo at the start. The non-Olympic discipline is only since 2015 in the World Cup program.

Punzel and European Champion Patrick Hausding had previously secured two Olympic quota places for the German Swimming Federation (DSV) by moving into the three-meter single final. Further starting places will be awarded at the World Cup next year in the host city of Tokyo.
