travel, equipment, favorites, television and stages in detail.

After months of intense waiting we have here the Tour de France 2019. The most famous cycling race in the world this year reaches its 106th edition and does so in what is expected an all-out fight that will crown on July 28 the final winner of the Tour de France 2019. Before the 176 cyclists of the 22 participating teams will have to overcome more than 3400 kilometers spread over 21 stages with a varied journey that on paper should benefit the climbers and the brave who want to move the race from afar.
If you are looking for the best guide for the Tour de France 2019 Do not miss anything of what comes next. A extensive analysis of the route with the 21 stages in detail, a review of the teams and registered cyclists, television schedules or the names of cyclists called to do great things in this exciting Tour de France.
Tour of France Tour 2019
Analysis
In my opinion the Tour de France 2019 presents one of the most attractive routes of recent years. This year's edition has a few kilometers against the clock, in fact cyclists will only have to travel individually to the 27 kilometers of the Pau time trial (thirteenth stage) that are added to the 27 of the team time trial of the second day. All this is expected to be beneficial in view of a greater television show. The high mountain should mark the differences in this edition, but let no one forget about the average mountain and the end moved downhill.
No prologues to open your mouth and mark the first differences. A first stage in Belgium that will be as dangerous as it is beautiful with the climb, very far from the finish, to the mythical Grammont wall. Nobody will win the race on this first day but more than one can lose it in a massive fall. The pure sprinters and their teams play a lot and have before them the opportunity to wear the first yellow leader jersey.

The second day, in a success of the organization, yes that will serve to calm the spirits and to mark the first differences between the favorites. The team time trial will determine the first stages of the mountain and the alignments of the teams.
From here a block of 3 stages with moved finals that should be for fast men before facing the now classic stage of the Planche des Belles Filles that will serve to demonstrate how the forces of the favorites are.
The Tour will continue advancing until the arrival of the Pyrenees that with the spectacular end of the Tourmalet is planned as a career block much more interesting than the last years. From here it will be a matter of keeping the few remaining forces to burn the last cartridges in the great ports of the Alps.
A edition that both travel and participation is coming as very moving and exciting, personally reminding me of the 2014 when Vincenzo Nibali was able to dethrone the Navy of the Sky (current Team Ineos). Froome will not be starting and the state of form of the current defender of the title, the Welshman, Geraint Thomas, suggests serious doubts.
Stages
Stage 1 - Saturday July 6

Belgium has been the country chosen to start the Tour de France 2019. The city of Brussels will host the end of the first stage in what except surprise is expected as a massive arrival. Before the runners and the tour will pay tribute to the Tour of Flanders the passage through the most famous cobblestone wall in the world, the Kapelmuur, also known as the Grammont wall. A level that despite being at the beginning of the stage can be relatively moving since the leadership of the general classification of the mountain will be at stake. The rest of the stage will serve to prepare the massive arrival and to make known the first yellow jersey. Beware of nerves.
Stage 2 - Sunday July 7

Second day in which the concentration and tension will be maximum. 27 kilometers of time trial by teams (in my opinion very few) that marked differences. When leaving here some runners will start with an advantage over their immediate pursuers while others will have to start recovering time. A more important stage than it seems and that will undoubtedly condition the eight runners chosen by each team.
Stage 3 - Monday, July 8

I am afraid that more than one sprinter will be given a song in the teeth in this third stage. The Muntigny level with 900 meters to 12.2% and located less than 20 kilometers to the end you can select the large group. Golden opportunity for men like Peter Sagan, Greg Van Avermaet or Julian Alaphillippe.
Stage 4 - Tuesday, July 9

The third stage that will pass Nancy's way will be an opportunity that the fastest men in the bunch will not want to waste. Everything points to a massive sprint without further complications. Caution with falls especially in the final stage section.
Stage 5 - Wednesday, July 10

The fifth stage of this tour may be more moving than it appears. The arrival in Colmar is always entertaining and this year I doubt that it is the exception. A perfect stage for the first flight of the Tour to arrive, although the teams of Peter Sagan, Greg Van Avermaet or Michael Matthews will try to control the day.
Stage 6 - Thursday, July 11

On the sixth day, the first great stage of this Tour arrives. The classic arrival at the Planche Des Belles Filles will serve to control the real state of runners. A perfect day to do the cotton test and see those cyclists who did not do their homework correctly before the race. The hard final ramps can stop the distant attacks but the day unlike other years is not a simple end up. The runners will reach the last port after having overcome 6 mountain passes.
Stage 7 - Friday July 12

Very long stage of 230 kilometers that except surprise will not have any kind of emotion until the final kilometers. Boring stage of simple wear. A transitional day.
Stage 8 - Saturday July 13

Stage breaks full-fledged legs on the way to Saint Etienne. Journey for the escape or for handicap. No differences are expected between the favorites to the general, although some runner with lost time may try to get back into the fight if it leaks in the break of the day. Complicated stage of control by the teams.
Stage 9 - Sunday July 14

Very rare to see a July 14 (French national holiday) so quiet. In addition the stage falls on Sunday so I do not understand how the organization has not taken advantage of the occasion. I trust the involvement of the French runners but I am afraid that it will be very difficult to break the big group.
Stage 10 - Monday, July 15

I doubt that the sprinters miss the opportunity knowing everything that comes to them. In my head there is nothing other than a massive arrival in Albi. Long stage and some wear out of its more than 200 kilometers but it should be quite quiet.
Tuesday July 16 - Rest day
Stage 11 - Wednesday, July 17

Follow the tranquility in the Tour with the arrival in Toulouse. 167 steep kilometers but that should not hurt the sprinters. Toulouse awaits a new massive arrival. Another stage of wear and without much emotion.
Stage 12 - Thursday, July 18

The Tour pulls classic for another Arrival in Bagneres de Bigorre with previous visit to Col de Peyresourde and Hourquette d'Ancizan. First contact with the Pyrenean massif. It is likely that some runner, I think Vincenzo Nibali, try to take advantage of the last meters of the port to jump into the open grave on the descent. The tactics of the teams will be very important and many of them will try to filter people in the flight so they can be useful in the final kilometers.
Stage 13 - Friday, July 19

The only time trial stage of this Tour de France. 27 kilometers that all specialists will try to take advantage of. In addition, the relatively fresh time trial will be reached, so the purest time trialists start with an advantage. The time trial is quite flat.
Stage 14 - Saturday July 20

Surely not the queen stage but the most expected by the general public. The Tour returns to end stage at the top of the Tourmalet. The most mythical mountain pass of the gala round will welcome the runners again. Before the runners will have to overcome the port of Soulour. Besides, the stage is only 117 kilometers so there can be war from the start. Looming good show.
Stage 15 - Sunday July 21

Stage 15 presents an unprecedented ending with the climb to the prat d'Albis in Foix. A port of more than 11 kilometers with an average slope of almost 7%. Climbing demanding and that will serve to end the first mountain block. The riders will face the next day a rest day so the motivation will be double to give up the last gram of force in the final climb
Monday, July 22 - Rest day
Stage 16 - Tuesday, July 23

All cyclists will thank the organization for the placement of a transition stage after the rest day. A day that is especially complicated for many and in which it is sometimes difficult to find the pedal stroke. The equipment will start to be worn out so I do not rule out a large leak.
Stage 17 - Wednesday, July 24

The organization returns to throw of classic for the arrival to Gap. A Very quiet stage until the final kilometers. Some runner will try to blow up the race in the third port before facing the final descent. Very careful with the descent. Nobody is going to win the race here, but it is true that more than one can lose it (just remember what happened to Joseba Beloki on his way to Gap in 2003). Gap is always synonymous with show, remember but the vertiginous descent by Peter Sagan in 2015
Stage 18 - Thursday, July 25

For many the stage reigns of this Tour and is that the tour has 4 mountain passes and 208 kilometers. The climb to the Izoard will be attrition and the mythical Galibier will be in charge of marking sentence. There will still be two days of high mountain ahead but three days after finishing the Tour de France fear should not stop the runners, especially all those who reach the Alps with lost time.
Stage 19 - Friday July 26

Penultimate opportunity for the men of the general classification and for all those teams that have not yet achieved the partial victory. Stage very moved and with great tactical interest of beginning. Filtering runners in the breakaway will be the priority of the directors. Tignes awaits the runners after a very short stage (126 kilometers) that could cause the explosion of more than one favorite.
Stage 20 - Saturday July 27

Yes now. The last important stage of this Tour de France 2019. Stage 20 will be for many the all or nothing. The last day to win the race, to get on the podium or to get a partial victory. 130 kilometers of pure dynamite that culminated with the long climb to Val Thorens. A rise of more than 33 kilometers to 5.5% of average slope.
Stage 21 - Sunday July 28

Last day and last stage with the classic walk through the Elysian fields. A stage with "volata" that serves to honor all the cyclists who manage to finish the gala round. Short stage, without interest and that will definitely crown the winner of the Tour de France 2019.
Analysis and strategy teams Tour de France 2019
The great squad of this Tour de France 2019 will be formed by 22 teams. 18 of them of the highest category world tour and 4 guests who will try to justify their invitation. The cyclists registered for the Tour de France 2019 to date they are the following (they can suffer modifications):
MOVISTAR TEAM: Mikel Landa, Nairo Quintana, Andrey Amador, Winner Anacona, Imanol Erviti, Nelson Oliveira, Carlos Verona, Alejandro Valverde, Marc Soler.
The telephone set arrives at the Tour without the pressure of other years. The victory of Carapaz in the Giro practically justifies the season, so runners can run without the media and commercial pressure of other years. For me this can benefit the Spanish team that will have to take advantage of the high mountain. The block is strong and it seems that the general will be a thing of Landa and Quintana. Valverde and Soler will try to make a team although they can have their opportunities in some days. The few kilometers against the clock benefit Mikel Landa, who for me must be the best man on the mountain with Egan Bernal. It comes with the fatigue of the Giro but Mikel is a long distance runner who works better in the second big round of the season.
AG2R LA MONDIALE: Romain Bardet, Mickael Cherel, Benoit Cosnefroy, Mathias Frank, Tony Gallopin, Pierre Latour, Oliver Naesen
The eternal aspirant? I'm afraid that Romain Bardet will stay in this. It is true that Roman has made podium in the Tour and that therefore the victory has not been so far, but in my opinion this is his roof. I doubt very much that Bardet wins a Tour de France so the AG2R would do well to focus its efforts on fighting for some partial triumph. It has brokers for it. Naesen, Gallopin or Latour can take advantage of their talent to make a good escape.
ASTANA: Pello Bilbao, Luis León Sánchez, Gorka Izaguirre, Hugo Houle, Jakob Fuglsang, Alexey Lutsenko, Magnus Cort, Omar Fraile.
Surely the best team so far this year. The Astana takes a real team to this Tour de France with men for the general classification and runners to fill the showcases with stage victories. Fuglsang is in the best moment of his career and would not rule out a Danish podium at all. The rest of the team will try to help you without giving up your personal interests. Good block for the time trial by teams and with some of the best Spanish riders of the moment. Pello Bilbao wants to repeat the successes of the Giro, Luis León Sánchez and Fraile want to win again in the Tour, while Izagirre wants to get a deserved triumph once and for all.
BAHRAIN MERIDA: Matej Mohoric, Vincenzo Nibali, Damiano Caruso, Rohan Dennis, Sonny Colbrelli, Dylan Teuns, Marcel Sieberg, Heinrich Haussler.
The shark of Messina comes hungry to prove that his career is not far from finished. Nibali comes from the Giro and although the demand was high, we are facing a runner who is capable of everything. Despite all the equipment is versatile and has runners with enough potential to blow the race. A lot of eye with Dylan Teuns and Mohoric. Personally I have very curious to see the evolution of Rohan Dennis in the mountains. A runner who is losing weight to try to emulate Bradley Wiggins on his way from the track to the great laps in stages.

BORA-HANSGROHE: Peter Sagan, Emanuel Buchmann, Patrick Konrad, Daniel Oss, Gregor Muhlberger, Luka Postlberger, Marcus Burghardt, Maximilian Schachman.
All for Peter Sagan ... ..or not? The Bora team has in its ranks the most media corridor of today. It is true that he is not having his best year and that for the first time he arrives with serious doubts about the Tour. Sagan is capable of everything so I will not be the one to underestimate this tremendous potential. In any case the team brings runners like Buchmann, Konrad or Schachman that can give the team some joy. The rest of the runners will be more dependent on the Slovak.
CCC TEAM: Greg Van Avermeat, Patrick Bevin, Simon Geschke, Serge Pauwels, Alessandro De Marchi, Michael Schar, Lukasz Wisniowskim, Guillaume Van Keirsbulck
Of the few teams that do not bring any runner to aspire to the general. The CCC will have all its hopes placed on stage victories. For this, it brings here an extremely competitive block that can benefit from vigilance among the favorites. Classics like Van Avermaet and specialists in numerous getaways like Pauwels and Van Avermaet.
TEAM SUNWEB: Wilco Kelderman, Michael Matthews, Soren Kragh Andersen, Nikias Arndt, Cees Bol, Chad Haga, Lennar Kamna, Nicolas Roche
The Sunweb arrives at the beginning of the Tour after a bad Turn of Italy and the last minute loss of Tom Dumoulin for the round gala. Kelderman should be his man for the general, while Matthews or Bol will try to assert their speed limit in complicated days. The team is quite solid and by runner profile you can have your options also on the second day with the team time trial.
TEAM INEOS: Geraint Thomas, Egan Bernal, Jonathan Castroviejo, Wouter Poels, Michal Kwiatkowski, Gianni Moscon, Dylan Van Baarle, Luke Rowe
The Ineos takes over the Sky's commercial relay. The British Navy is called to dominate the race again. The fall of Froome and the doubts left by the physical state of Thomas place the young Bernal as the great aspirant.

TEAM UAE: Fabio Aru, Sven Erik Bystsrom, Rui Costa, Sergio Henao, Alexander Kristoff, Vegard Stake Laengen, Dan Martin, Jasper Philipsen
TEAM DIMENSION DATA: Roman Kreuziger, Mark Cavendish, Edvald Boasson Hagen, Louis Mentjes, Julien Vermote, Bernhard Eisel, Ben King, Michael Valgren, Reinardt Janse Van Rensburg.
LOTTO- SOUDAL: Thomas De Gendt, Tim Wellens, Tiesj Benoot, Roger Kluge, Maxime Monfort, Caleb Ewan, Jasper De Buyst, Jens Keukeleire.
JUMBO-VISMA: Dylan Groenewegem, Steven Kruiswijk, Wout Van Aert, Tony Martin, George Bennett, Laurens De Plus, Mike Teunissen, Amund Grondahl Jansen.
GROUPAMA-FDJ: Thibaut Pinot, William Bonnet, Anthony Roux, Sebastien Reichenbach, Rudy Molard, David Gaudu, Stefan Kung, Mattheiu Ladagnous
DECEUNINCK- QUICK STEP: Julian Alaphilippe, Kasper Asgreen, Yves Lampaert, Dries Devenyns, Michael Morkov, Enric Mas, Max Richeze, Elia Viviani.

MITCHELTON-SCOTT: Adam Yates, Simon Yates, Luke Durbridge, Jack Haig, Michael Hepburn, Christopher Juul- Jensen, Daryl Impey, Matteo Trentin.
EDUCATION FIRST: Rigoberto Urán, Teejay Van Garderen, Alberto Bettiol, Lawson Craddock, Taylor Phinney, Michael Woods, Tom Scully,
KATUSHA ALPECIN: Ilnur Zakarin, Jose Goncalves, Alex Dowsett, Marco Haller, Jens Debusschere, Nils Politt, Rick Zabel, Mads Wurtz Schmidt.
WANTY-GOBERT: Aimé De Gendt, Odd Christian Eiking, Guillaume Martin, Xandro Meurisse, Andrea Pasqualon, Frederik Backaert, Kevin Van Melsen, Yoann Offredo.
TREK – SEGAFREDO: Richie Porte, Bauke Mollema, Julien Bernard, Giuilio Ciccone, Koen De Kort, Fabio Felline, Toms Skujins, Jasper Stuyven.
COFIDIS: Jesús Herrada, Christophe Laporte, Nicolas Edet, Darwin Atapuma, Nacer Bouhanni, Julien Simon, Jesper Hansen, Julien Simon
TOTAL- DIRECT ENERGIE: Niki Terprstra, Lilian Calmejane, Anthony Turgis, Adrien Petit, Damien Gaudin, Romain Sicard, Rein Taarame, Nicolo Bonifazio.
ARKEA SAMSIC: Warren Barguil, Andre Greipel, Brice Felliu, Anthony Delaplace, Florian Vachon, Elie Gesbert, Maxime Bouet.
