U21 European Championship: Romania is Germany's semi-final opponent after a draw against France

Romania U21 national team is after the 0-0 against the French for the first time in the European Championship semifinals. There it comes to a duel with Germany, which had already qualified with a draw against Austria. The other semi-finals are denied by the two favorites Spain and France, who became the best runners-up.

The Romanians around Ianis Hagi, son of Romanian football legend Gheorghe Hagi, had previously defeated Croatia and England in the group stage. Even before the game against France, it was clear that both teams would draw for the semi-finals.

In the second game of Group C, the former retired England split 3: 3 (1: 1) of Croatia. Arsenal rider Reiss Nelson (11 minutes on penalty), James Maddison (48) and Schalke new signing Jonjoe Kenny (70), scored for England. Wolfsburg's Josip Brekalo (39./82.) And Nikola Vlasic (62.) scored the goals for Croatia.

Italy had finished second in the group with six points and had hoped to progress to the top of the table in the last race. The draw, however, France comes on seven counters, therefore moved past the hosts and managed as the best second the leap in the knockout round of the tournament.
