Uli Hoeneß allegedly at Bayern Munich before leaving
Uni Hoeneß is to withdraw from a candidacy for re-election as president of FC Bayern Munich at the annual general meeting in November. This reports the "Bild" newspaper. In addition, the 67-year-old is therefore planning to give up his post as Chairman of the Supervisory Board. For this he had been confirmed until December 2022.
In November of last year, Hoeneß said, "I'll do this job for another two or three years, and I want to hand over a full cash register to my successor." According to "Bild" newspaper, this successor will be Herbert Hainer, Deputy Chairman of the Bayern Supervisory Board and from 2001 to 2016 Chief Executive Officer of Adidas AG.
The report has so far been confirmed neither by Hoeness nor by Bayern. "Bild" initially made no specific references.
