Women's U19 European Championship: Germany loses final against France
Germany's young footballers have missed the title at the U19 European Championship. The DFB selection was defeated in the final in Paisley, France 1: 2 (1: 1). The minimum goal had reached the team of coach Maren Meinert but: Already by the finals, it had qualified for the U20 World Cup next year.

Meinert had been with the DFB for 14 years and had won two U20 World Cup and three U19 European Championship titles. As a player, she was Germany and European champion with Germany.
